The Children’s Museum in Easton is an
educational, cultural, and social learning center for children and
families from all over New England and southeastern Massachusetts.
Our mission is “To inspire a life long love of learning in
children.” Housed in the Old Fire Station in historic North
Easton Village, Museum exhibits feature themes from the arts,
sciences and humanities. We view play and hands-on experience as
the keys to stimulate curiosity and motivate learning in children.
Four Easton mothers of young
children seeking nearby, hands-on educational experiences founded
the Museum in 1986 for their kids. With overwhelming
community approval, volunteer assistance, and donations of goods
and services from area residents and businesses, the Museum opened
in 1991.
A Special Place - two things strike Museum visitors: The
atmosphere is homey and non-institutional and our small facility
is packed with diverse, lively, and enticing exhibits. And they
see rich examples of the children’s museum ethos a passion for
interactive, intense, and exciting learning
The Museum is the only
children’s museum between Boston, Massachusetts and Providence,
Rhode Island. We have created three floors of interactive
exhibits and over 100 programs, classes and special events per
year that allow kids to explore the world around them. Over
37,000 people visit annually, including 100 school groups.
Schools, businesses, and cultural organizations throughout the
region are all involved in promoting interactive education for
children.
