Services. Mercedes Car Group segment designs, produces, and sells
Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, including S-Class, E-Class, C-Class,
A-Class, M-Class, and G-Class; Maybach luxury sedans; and
‘smart’ compact passenger cars. Chrysler Group segment
provides vehicles under the Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge brand names.
The Chrysler and Dodge brands offer cars and minivans. In
addition, the Chrysler brand offers the Pacifica and the PT
Cruiser. The Dodge brand also includes pick-up trucks, a
sport-utility vehicle, and vans. Under the Jeep brand, the
Chrysler Group sells sport utility vehicles. Commercial Vehicles
segment offers vehicles, including vans, trucks, buses,
off-highway buses, Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) vehicles, and
Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) vehicles. The
Services segment offers customized financing and leasing packages
for retail and wholesale customers in the automotive sector. The
company also provides financing to dealers for property, plant,
and equipment purchases, and vehicle inventory. DaimlerChrysler
markets its products and services through dealers and wholesale
distributors. The company has strategic partnerships with MFTBC,
Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, General Motors Corp., BMW Group,
and HMC. Daimlerchrysler was founded in 1883 and is headquartered
in Stuttgart, Germany.
