Do you Twitter?, If You're a Celebrity Then You Should

(NAMC) - For those that are riding the social networking tide from MySpace to Facebook, the thirst for easier communication is just growing and now there is a new dog in the pound but this one has a little more bite than the two major social networking websites expected.

The name of the platform is Twiiter, the website is , this is a social networking slash mini-blogging platform that allows users to send their thoughts over a vast network of users, these posting are called Tweets and when you Tweet your reach can be anywhere from the hundreds to the thousands just onTwitter alone.

Now there is another feature which makes it just more interesting, you can actually configure Facebook to fetch your Tweets and post them on your Facebook Wall, so the need to go on Facebook just to update your status has become that much easier, a one stop shop type of status updating system. It doesn't stop there, you can also install an application on MySpace to show your Tweets to the world, its not as functional as Facebook but does serve a purpose..

So if that hasn't intrigued you to look at Twitter, well according to reports Facebook has and will there be an acquisition at some point, who knows, but the interesting thing is that they did take a big look at the company.

Just to add a little more to the pot, celebrities from Shaquille O'Neal, yes Shaq himself, to Mc Hammer, Brooke Burke, Lance Armstrong, Hulk Hogan, Britney Spears to news/political personalities such as Good Morning America, Sen John McCain, Chuck Grassley, George Stephanopoulos and during his campaign both President Barack Obama and VP Joe Biden Tweeted away. Of course some of these names have staff tweeting for them but the ones that do their own tweeting include Shaq, Mc Hammer, Lance Armstrong, Hulk Hogan and Brooke Burke.

Now I personally use Twiiter and came across it, not knowing what it was but finding out it is a very powerful way to keep in touch with the masses within 140 characters of text.

So if you are a celebrity or personality of some sort and not using Twitter then you are missing out on a whole new way to truely connect with your fans, friends and make new fans/friends along the way.
