Jan Wright: Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake Call it QuitsLOS ANGELES, CA, (NAMC) - As a celebrity the baggage that comes with it is the media attention and the lack of privacy. If a person is looking to become famous then they have to take the good and the bad that comes along with it. When a celebrity does something out of the ordinary it makes headlines, whether it be partying with friends or talking to someone other than their significant other. The media feeds on that because that is what the people want to hear about, I guess it makes the ordinary person feel more on their level in some ways. Relationships, well those make the most headlines, and again as a celebrity you have to expect to be under a microscope. It's not something new, the media blitz and tabloid blast come with the territory, but some celebrities try to appease the masses with a press release, to at least communicate their feelings and voice their request for privacy on a particular topic and in some cases it pushes the respectable media players back a step or two. So on that note, late Thursday a joint statement was released from both Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake in regards to their relationship, and it is as follows: "It has always been our preference not to comment on the status of our relationship, but, out of respect for the time we've spent together, we feel compelled to do so now, in light of recent speculation and the number of inaccurate stories that are being reported by the media. We have, in fact, ended our romantic relationship and have done so mutually and as friends, with continued love and respect for one another." Although this was widely assumed, they made it a point to address it publicly. I'm sure that neither of them regret their time together or will have a problem finding another person in their lives.
